KERS INSTALLATION AND TRAINING COURSE

The Kers indoor heat pumps have been designed to maximise efficiency, lower energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions resulting in lower energy costs for the customer. To ensure these standards are maintained Kers products can only be installed by authorised engineers that have completed the Kers installer training days, and have been awarded their Kers training certificates.

About the course

As part of the training you receive, you will gain Kers specific accreditation and will become an-approved Kers installer. Our Kers indoor heat pump installer course gives you access to essential knowledge; you will learn:

  • General overview-introduction to heat pumps, basic principles
  • Manual handling-positioning of the unit
  • How the Kers indoor heat pump works
  • Why you fit a Kers indoor heat pump-energy savings-ventilation
  • How to install the indoor heat pump
  • Ventilation Ductwork-design considerations-insulation materials
  • Plumbing, water, waste requirements
  • Electrical requirements, controller functions
  • Pre commissioning check list
  • Questions and answers will form part of the course
  • Warranty-information on standard and extended 5 year warranty

Training Requirements

Kers training certificate is a pre requisite to install the Kers indoor heat pump. The Kers training certificate number will be used to validate the warranty on all kers indoor heat pump products. Without this number the warranty will be void.

Pre inspection visits

Sites will have a pre installation site visit by a member of the Kers team to ensure the correct installation parameters have been followed. Recommendations on the first fix may be made to ensure maximum efficiency and the smooth operation of the Kers product.

Outcomes

Our indoor heat pump training courses will provide you with all the knowledge and skills you need for a successful heat pump installation. Our courses are available for teams or individuals working with heat pumps with the following credentials.

  • Trainee requirements.
    G3-unvented hot water storage
  • NVQ level 3 heating and ventilation or equivalent
  • NVQ level 3 electrical or equivalent
  • Once the training course has been completed attendees will receive
    a completion certificate and issued with a Kers number
  • This number will be used to validate the Kers warranty
All attendees will have a question and answer session to ensure they have a full understanding of the Kers product installation and will be awarded a Kers training certificate once the course is complete together with a Kers training registration number. Please note this training certificate number will be used to validate the warranty once the Kers product has been installed and commissioned.

KERS CERTIFIED INSTALLER PROGRAMME

To become a certified Kers indoor heat pump installer contractors must attend our Kers installer training programme for each product. ALL COURSES ARE FREE AND A CERTICATE IS ISSUED TO ALL ATTENDEES.

  • Engineer training.  Installers attends our kers intensive engineer training
  • Product delivered to site and verified
  • Pre installation Site inspection. Kers team attend site to confirm all installation requirements have been met and will provide guidance if required to ensure all quality parameters have been met.
